What changes across the service area

We are a service-area business, not a storefront, we come to the array. The method is the same everywhere (deionized water, soft brush, from the ground wherever the array allows), but what lands on the glass genuinely differs across the six counties, and so does the cleaning schedule that makes sense.

  • Lakefront corridor (eastern Lake County, North Shore): heavier bird activity through spring and fall migration, plus onshore moisture that streaks panels between rains. Bird proofing comes up here more than anywhere else.
  • Northwest and west suburbs: mature tree canopy means a two-stage debris load, pollen strings in May, then leaves and seed litter from October.
  • McHenry and outer Kane: the closest panels in the metro to working farmland. Spring tilling and fall harvest both put wind-blown silt on the glass, and it cakes hard after the first rain.
  • Will County:the region’s densest warehouse-roof solar. Flat commercial arrays never self-rinse, water pools and evaporates in place, so they need service more often than a pitched residential roof, not less.
  • Central Chicago and the south/southwest corridors: the heaviest particulate load in the region, from expressway film and winter heating soot on top of ordinary pollen. A pre-winter cleaning is worth more here.

Across all of it, the single highest-value cleaning of the year is in May, it strips the April-May pollen film immediately before the June-August peak production window. See the month-by-month schedule or the full pricing breakdown.
